Back from Ireland

Hello to friends everywhere,
I arrived home about 7 weeks ago and haven't stopped since!  The 2 months and more in Ireland were highly productive and I'm more than happy with way my work is developing. The residency at Cill Railiag, near Ballinskelligs, Co. Kerry, was brilliant. Very isolated and challenging in many ways but a truly amazing location to work in the landscape in all weathers.
I'm hoping to get another gallery up on my website in the near future.
I'm now putting most of my creative energy into Life Drawing and preparing for  group exhibition at Art Is Gallery, Geelong in December. Next week is Poopykettle festival and I'm involved with Kinder and Primary art activities. Should be great fun.
Will attempt to keep this blog more regularly now. There was almost no Internet access during my time overseas hence the lapse in communication.
Cheers - Gillie

Travels begin in two weeks

Greetings from Studio 22.
All happening as I think about packing for travel again. I shall try to write each day but during July I have no Internet access!
Journey starts in the heat of Dubai for four days then on to London where I can again use my UK passport instead of being faced with the interminable queues at Immigration in the notorious Terminal 3 at Heathrow.
So for now, I sift through the gradually diminishing list of things that must be done yesterday but certainly by 3 May. A mounting pile of bits and pieces, all apparently essential to my well-being for the next 4 months, is spread across the bed. It looks a disaster but is my version of organised chaos.
That's it for now. Next saga will be from London in early May.
Signing off with take care and - Slan.    Gillie
